Despite their small size, the Luxembourg armed forces regularly take part in international NATO missions, for example in the former Yugoslavia or Afghanistan, as well as in humanitarian missions. Luxembourg is contributing a single A400M to the newly established binational unit with Belgium, which will create transport capacities that can be accessed flexibly as required by both countries.
