The long-lasting relationship between Lufthansa and Boeing, that had begun with the delivery of the first 727 back in 1965, will continue with the Dreamliner. In spring of 2022, the first 787-9 will be delivered thanks to the takeover of vacant delivery positions as a result of orders that had been cancelled by other carriers and will begin service on the Frankfurt-Toronto route. The model of Lufthansa’s first Dreamliner, named “Berlin”, will be released simultaneously in the 1/500 and 1/200 scales.
