A model of the US low-cost airline Spirit is being released in the Herpa range for the first time. Unofficially, the airline is classified as an “ultra low-cost carrier” with basically everything besides the bare air fare, such as the transportation of carry-on luggage, having to be purchased separately. The simply concept showed to be quite successful, the airline growing and ranking as the eighth largest airline in the US. Spirit operates a fleet of next to 170 A319, A320 and A321 aircraft in a simple but striking yellow and black look.
