Finally i have a AA livery!

Posted by Garry on 19th May 2021

Been awaiting alongtime for a model to be launched of an aircraft type with this livery on it!

I actually like the new AA livery but this livery looks good on a B747SP and AA only ever had a few B747's in the 70'/80's as of preference to DC-10 3 engined wide bodies and then MD -11s.

I did think about the retro Pan Am but that livery looks better on a Tristar from NG.
So very few liveries to choose on B747-SPs as
only 51 or 52 were ever delivered to a few airlines! Quantas and Braniff were big buyers if i recall for this type and united had a few of Pan Am machines once they went bust! Pan Am
    also had a few.

So overall a nice AA B747 model and its much better than the recent JCWings attempt! The wing box on that mould looks awful as do Aeroclassics attempts! This is the best B747-SP
mould out there and its NG!

I would go for the SAA once released as another livery and shame BA never had any for ultra long routes?? Many wandered why they never picked up any 2nd hand ones on the cheap in real life ,would made an excellent plane for them on some routes i gather!

Detail is excellent,NG are clear winners for this model type ! Again 10/10. Buy it!

I asked NG to do Air Gabon i think it was, they had a nice livery for this plane type, look good as a model.I know it was some form of African Airline.
