The Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV was a versatile light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, heavily used by the RAF in the early years of World War II. This particular aircraft, V5735/QY-D, flew with No.254 Squadron from Aldergrove during the autumn of 1941, operating under Coastal Command. The squadron’s duties included anti-shipping patrols, reconnaissance, and escort missions over the North Sea and Atlantic approaches.
