The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was the unsung hero of the Battle of Britain, accounting for more enemy kills than all other British fighters combined. This Corgi AA49101 release depicts the aircraft flown by Squadron Leader Peter Townsend, commanding officer of No. 85 Squadron RAF, based at RAF Debden in the summer of 1940.
Finished in authentic dark earth and dark green camouflage, with accurate Squadron codes (VY-Q) and early-war roundels, this 1:72 die-cast model captures one of the RAF’s most historically significant Hurricanes.
Includes optional undercarriage, rotating propeller, and display stand, all presented in Corgi’s Battle of Britain collector’s box.
A must-have for WWII aviation collectors, Battle of Britain enthusiasts, and RAF heritage model fans.
