Fate of N324F After Airport
Delivery & Film Role
Built in 1966 for Flying Tiger Line, aircraft MSN 19354 (N324F) briefly stole the spotlight when used by Universal Pictures in Airport (1970).
Post-Film Career
After filming, it continued flying as a freighter for various operators—including Flying Tiger Line again, Aer Lingus, British Caledonian, Zambia Airways, Omega Air, and finally TransBrasil (as PT-TCS)
Final Crash
On 21 March 1989, flying as PT-TCS for TransBrasil, it tragically crashed on approach to São Paulo–Guarulhos Airport, resulting in the deaths of all three crew members and 22 people on the ground.
This 1/200 scale diecast model from WB Models depicts the Boeing 707-300, registration N324F, in the fictional Trans Global Airlines livery from the classic 1970 film Airport. The 707 was the centrepiece of the movie’s storyline and has become an iconic piece of aviation cinema. With authentic movie markings, detailed printing, and a display stand included, this model is a perfect collectable for both aviation enthusiasts and film memorabilia collectors.
