Aircraft History

SE-RSF is an Airbus A350-941 operated by SAS Scandinavian Airlines. The aircraft carries manufacturer serial number 499 and is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines.

It completed its first flight on 29 April 2021 using the Airbus test registration F-WZGF and was delivered to SAS on 23 June 2021. The aircraft was subsequently named “Hjalmar Viking”.

The Airbus A350-900 is a modern long-range, twin-engine wide-body airliner constructed extensively from lightweight composite materials. SAS uses the aircraft on long-haul services from Scandinavia to destinations in North America and Asia.

SAS officially joined the SkyTeam airline alliance on 1 September 2024, after leaving Star Alliance. The SkyTeam logo on the aircraft reflects the airline’s membership in the alliance.
