Help Us Track An Alleged Fraudulent Order Involving This Model
As a small, independent business, we’ve always tried to be open with our community, so we wanted to share something that’s happened recently.
We received what looked like a genuine large order for eight of the following model:
Corgi 2024 Panavia Tornado GR.1, ZD748/AK “Johnnie Walker – Still Going Strong”, RAF No. 9 Squadron, Scale 1/72, AA29401.
The order was processed and the models were shipped within the UK, but it has since become clear that we were the victims of a fraudulent transaction. As a result, we’ve lost both the stock and the payment – a big hit for a small specialist retailer like us.
We’re sharing this not for sympathy, but to raise awareness and to ask for your help:
Have You Seen This Model Being Resold?
? Have you seen this exact model being offered for sale recently at a much lower price than usual (for example, on marketplaces, social media, or auction sites)?
If you spot anything that looks suspicious – especially someone selling multiple copies – we’d really appreciate it if you could:
- Take a screenshot
- Copy the link
- Send it to us via direct message or email below
Please don’t contact the seller directly on our behalf – just let us know so we can pass details to the appropriate platforms and, if needed, Action Fraud.
Being part of a niche aviation and model-collecting community has always meant a lot to us. Your support – whether by sharing this post, keeping an eye out, or just continuing to shop with small businesses – genuinely makes a difference.
Thank you for reading, and for helping us keep this hobby – and the people in it – that little bit safer. ✈️
Direct email, please, to webmaster@airspotters.com
