New JC Wings releases

From the world’s largest aircraft to a Channel Islands favourite

Five distinctive new models are now available to pre-order at Airspotters.com, with arrival currently expected towards the end of 2026.

This JC Wings announcement is certainly not short on variety. It stretches from the extraordinary six-engined Antonov An-225 and a long-range private Airbus A340-500 to Aurigny’s compact Dornier Do 228 and two imaginative NASA Boeing 777 releases.

Whether your collection celebrates record-breaking aircraft, unusual operators or models that are simply different from anything else in the cabinet, there is plenty here to catch the eye.

Antonov An-225 Mriya – a centrepiece in any collection

Few aircraft have ever created the same sense of scale and spectacle as the Antonov An-225 Mriya. Its six engines, enormous wing and unmistakable twin tail made it one of aviation’s most recognisable machines.

JC Wings is producing UR-82060 with the red-stripe scheme as an Interactive Series release, complete with antenna details. Most importantly, this is brand-new 1/400 tooling—a particularly appealing prospect for collectors who have been waiting for a fresh representation of this aviation giant.

Aurigny Dornier Do 228 G-ETAC “Alderney”

Small regional aircraft can be some of the most characterful additions to a collection, and this Dornier is a perfect example. The high wing, twin turboprops and bright yellow Aurigny tail give G-ETAC an identity all its own.

Named Alderney, it is a lovely choice for collectors of British regional aviation, Channel Islands aircraft and less frequently modelled types. The release is supplied with a display stand.

NASA Boeing 777-200 Airborne Science Laboratory

This is the release that may start the most conversations. The familiar Boeing 777 shape is transformed by a striking NASA research livery, with a deep blue rear fuselage, a globe motif, and the registration N577NA.

JC Wings is offering both the standard configuration and a flaps-down version. Both are supplied with a stand, allowing collectors to choose a clean parked profile or the added mechanical detail of an aircraft configured for landing.

Sands Aviation Airbus A340-500 VP-BMS

For lovers of four-engined widebodies, the long-range A340-500 remains a beautifully proportioned aircraft. This Sands Aviation example brings a private-aviation subject to the 1/200 line-up—an unusual contrast to the familiar scheduled-airline liveries found in many collections.

Registered VP-BMS and supplied with a stand, it is a distinctive choice for an Airbus, executive-aircraft or modern quad-jet display.
