The specific aircraft is, WZ590, was manufactured at Hawarden in Wales and delivered to No. 228 Operational Conversion Unit at RAF Leeming in December 1953. In 1959, it was transferred to No. 5 Flying Training School (5 FTS) at RAF Oakington, which is located near Cambridge, England,
