A fascinating piece of American space-exploration history, this Dragon Wings collectable model features NASA's Boeing 747-100 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) carrying the iconic Space Shuttle Enterprise.

NASA modified the Boeing 747 to transport Space Shuttle orbiters between locations, with Enterprise playing a vital role in the early development of the Space Shuttle programme.

In 1977, Enterprise flew the Approach and Landing Tests, initially attached to the Boeing 747 before completing a series of unpowered glide flights to test its landing characteristics.

This combination is one of the most recognisable aircraft-and-spacecraft partnerships in aviation history.

An interesting addition to any NASA, Boeing 747 or space exploration collection.
