This unusual Eagle Models 1:200 scale release imagines the Airbus A380-800 in full Virgin Atlantic colours.

Virgin Atlantic originally ordered the Airbus A380, but the airline never put the aircraft into service. This fantasy model therefore offers collectors perhaps the closest opportunity to seeing the Super Jumbo transformed into one of Virgin's unmistakable Flying Ladies.

When the A380 order was announced, Sir Richard Branson promoted ambitious ideas for the aircraft, including Upper Class flat beds and even the possibility of an onboard casino. Although those plans never became reality, they remain a fascinating part of Virgin Atlantic's history.

The model carries the fictional registration G-VAA—although G-VXXL might have been even more appropriate for an aircraft of this size! It is also named "Varga Girl", a name previously carried by Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-600 G-VGAS.
