From 1998, the Jagdgeschwader 3 (JG-3) “Wladimir Komarow”, of the GDR’s Nationalen Volksarmee, named after the Soviet cosmonaut, operated 24 MiG-29As. After the unification of the two German states in 1990, the Bundesluftwaffe took over these presumably the best aeroplanes in the world. The limited model with registration 604 will be released in the NVA’s “farewell livery”.
