Add a modern Royal Air Force tanker and transport aircraft to your collection with this Aviation400 Airbus Voyager KC2 model.

Produced in 1/400 scale using new tooling, the model represents ZZ335 in the understated grey Royal Air Force colour scheme. The Voyager is the RAF’s version of the Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport and performs air-to-air refuelling, strategic transport and aeromedical missions.

This collectable die-cast model features detailed printing, aerials, underwing refuelling pods and detachable landing gear. A display stand is also included, allowing the aircraft to be displayed either in flight or with its undercarriage fitted.

Aircraft History

ZZ335 is an Airbus Voyager KC2 operated by the Royal Air Force. Based on the Airbus A330-200 airliner, it carries construction number 1334 and is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 772B-60 engines. The aircraft was built in 2012 and entered RAF service under the registration ZZ335 in August 2013.

The Voyager KC2 is equipped with two underwing refuelling pods, enabling it to refuel suitably equipped aircraft while airborne. Unlike the KC3 version, the KC2 does not have the additional centreline refuelling unit.

Voyager aircraft also provide long-range passenger and freight transport. They can be adapted for aeromedical evacuation, including a configuration capable of carrying up to 40 stretchers and three critical-care patients.

The RAF Voyager fleet is operated from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire through a partnership with AirTanker. The fleet provides an important force-multiplication capability by allowing receiver aircraft to remain airborne for longer and operate over greater distances.
