Concorde F-WTSA: A Piece of Supersonic History
JC Wings • Manufacturer house colours • Scale 1/400 • UX4008
Some aircraft need no introduction. Concorde is one of them. That slender fuselage, sweeping delta wing and unmistakable profile still capture the imagination. This JC Wings release takes us back to the development years, with F-WTSA presented in manufacturer house colours.
The aircraft behind the model
F-WTSA was the French pre-production Concorde, also known as aircraft 02 or 102. It first flew from Toulouse on 10 January 1973 and helped develop the aircraft that would become one of aviation’s most recognisable airliners.
Its story belongs to the testing and demonstration programme: the work that brought supersonic passenger flight closer to reality. The house-colour scheme lets collectors represent that chapter alongside the familiar airline liveries.
Why we have left “1969” out of our listing
You may see this model advertised elsewhere as “Paris Air Show 1969”. We checked that description against the history of F-WTSA and found a mismatch: this aircraft’s first flight was in January 1973, several years after the event named in the supplied description.
Until JC Wings confirms whether the year or registration in the supplied information is incorrect, we have removed “1969” from our main product title. We want collectors to understand what they are ordering, and that includes checking the model's history. We have therefore kept the description focused on Concorde F-WTSA in house colours.
A closer look at the JC Wings model
Produced in 1/400 scale, this diecast model features printed markings, landing gear and an aerial antenna. Its manufacturer livery makes it a strong choice for a Concorde display, a development-aircraft collection, or a shelf devoted to civil aviation milestones.
