The Hawker Hunter was one of Britain’s most successful early jet fighters. Originally developed as a swept-wing interceptor, it was later adapted for ground-attack, reconnaissance and flight-testing duties. XE601 served with the A&AEE at Boscombe Down, where aircraft and equipment were evaluated on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. This model accurately recreates the aircraft as it appeared in 1992.
