This Corgi Aviation Archive 1:48 scale model represents Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a B658, flown by celebrated First World War pilot Cecil Arthur Lewis while serving with No. 61 Squadron on Home Defence duties in 1918.

No. 61 Squadron was formed at Rochford as a Home Defence unit and received the SE5a in early 1918. B658 wore a striking night-fighter colour scheme, making this an especially distinctive model of one of Britain's most successful First World War fighters.

The SE5a combined good performance, stability, and strength, and carried both a synchronised Vickers machine gun and a Lewis gun mounted above the upper wing. This detailed Corgi release is an attractive addition to any collection of First World War aviation, Home Defence aircraft or historic British fighters.
