Celebrate a classic British aircraft with this Gemini 200 Royal Air Force Vickers VC-10 C1K, representing XR808 in 1:200 scale. Made of die-cast metal, this model recreates the distinctive shape of the VC-10 in its military guise. 

Finished in RAF grey with commemorative tail markings, this release depicts the aircraft’s special scheme celebrating 50 years of the VC-10 and the 95th anniversary of No. 101 Squadron in 2012. The decorated tail provides an eye-catching contrast to the aircraft’s operational grey finish. 

The real VC-10 C1K combined air-to-air refuelling capability with passenger and freight transport, making it a versatile aircraft within the Royal Air Force’s fleet. XR808’s conversion included refuelling pods beneath the wings while retaining its passenger-carrying capability. 

XR808 enjoyed a remarkably long career, entering RAF service in 1966 and making its final flight on 29 July 2013, after more than 47 years of service. The aircraft subsequently became part of the RAF Museum collection at Cosford, preserving its place in British aviation history.
