Built in 1959, the aircraft originally operated with American Airlines as N7519A. It later joined Transavia Holland in March 1972, becoming the airline’s first and only Boeing 707-123B.

The aircraft was powered by four Pratt & Whitney JT3D turbofan engines. Its combination of four-engine performance, intercontinental capability and elegant swept-wing design made the Boeing 707 one of the defining airliners of the early jet age.
