Aircraft History

Finnair was founded in 1923, making it one of the world’s longest continuously operating airlines. To celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2023, two of the airline’s Airbus A350S received special Moomin artwork featuring Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden.

The design was applied to both sides of the rear fuselage and carried the slogan “Bringing us together since 1923.” The actual decorations consisted of specially manufactured transfers designed to withstand the considerable temperature changes experienced during flight.
