The model represents D-AIFA, which is due to be named “Deutschland”, wearing Lufthansa’s distinctive 100th-anniversary colour scheme. The special design features a blue fuselage, an oversized white crane logo and commemorative “100” and “1926–2026” markings.

This collectable die-cast model features detailed printing, realistic Rolls-Royce engine detailing, aerials and detachable landing gear. A display stand is also included, allowing the model to be displayed either in flight or with its undercarriage fitted.

Aircraft History

D-AIFA is Lufthansa’s first Airbus A350-1000 and is scheduled to join the airline’s Munich-based long-haul fleet during autumn 2026. The aircraft will be named “Deutschland” following an official naming ceremony.

The aircraft wears a special livery celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of Lufthansa in 1926. Its design includes a deep blue fuselage, a large white crane across the rear section, “100” markings and the dates “1926 | 2026”.

D-AIFA will also become the 700th Airbus aircraft delivered to the Lufthansa Group. It is the seventh aircraft selected for Lufthansa’s special anniversary fleet, alongside examples of the Airbus A320neo, A350-900 and A380, Boeing 747-8 and Boeing 787-9.

The Airbus A350-1000 is the largest member of the A350 family. Lufthansa plans to configure the aircraft with approximately 300 seats across First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. The airline has ordered 15 A350-1000 aircraft.
