Boneyard as an underwing missile or drop tank is missing. Very good price, as on eBay these are well over £120.

A highly detailed Hobby Master F-1 support fighter, aircraft 20-8265, operated by the 3rd Hikotai, 3rd Air Wing of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force at Misawa Air Base.

The model wears the distinctive shark-mouth scheme used by the squadron during the “Senkyo” Tactical Air Combat Meet in the mid-1980s. The 3rd Hikotai’s traditional kabuto samurai helmet insignia is prominently displayed on the aircraft’s tail.

Developed from the Mitsubishi T-2 supersonic trainer, the F-1 was Japan’s first domestically developed supersonic combat aircraft following the Second World War. It served primarily as a maritime strike and ground-attack aircraft and could carry ASM-1 anti-ship missiles, Sidewinders, rockets and conventional bombs.

This collectable 1/72-scale Air Power Series model combines die-cast metal construction with finely reproduced panel lines, permanent printed markings, and a detailed underside. A presentation stand is supplied for displaying the aircraft in flight.
