This Corgi Aviation Archive AA39703 model represents the Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk.IIC operated by 835 Naval Air Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, aboard the escort carrier HMS Nairana during 1944.

The Sea Hurricane Mk.IIC was a navalised development of the famous Hawker Hurricane, adapted for carrier operations and armed with four 20mm cannons. 835 NAS was primarily equipped with Fairey Swordfish, with Sea Hurricanes added to provide fighter defence while operating from HMS Nairana on Atlantic convoy and Gibraltar route patrols.

Corgi’s 1/72-scale die-cast model captures this important Fleet Air Arm aircraft in a collector-friendly display form. Reference sources list this release as AA39703, with a limited production run of 1,300 pieces.
