Produced in 1/72 scale as part of the Hobby Master Air Power Series, this die-cast model represents aircraft 07-8432 of 302 Squadron, 2nd Air Wing, Japan Air Self-Defense Force, based at Chitose Air Base, Hokkaido, in October 1984.

The F-4EJ was a specialised Japanese version of the McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II. Most examples were manufactured under licence by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and served as all-weather interceptor aircraft with the JASDF. The powerful twin-engine Phantom became one of Japan’s most recognisable military aircraft and remained in operational service for several decades.

Hobby Master models are renowned for their substantial die-cast construction, accurately applied tampo-printed markings and impressive display features. This release includes a display stand, optional landing-gear positions, pilot figures, opening or closed canopies and a selection of removable armament.
