Description:
This brand-new JC Wings 1:400-scale McDonnell Douglas MD-11 represents aircraft N211MD in McDonnell Douglas house colours. House colour models occupy a special place in aviation collections, showcasing the aircraft exactly as presented by the manufacturer during sales campaigns, demonstrations, and certification phases.
The MD-11 was McDonnell Douglas’s final commercial airliner and the ultimate evolution of the DC-10 lineage, combining long range, distinctive winglets, and a unique tri-jet layout. Finished in clean, understated house markings, this model highlights the MD-11’s elegant lines without airline branding, making it a standout technical and historical display piece.

JCW Mould still the best out there IMO.
Of late Phoenix has been doing alot of DC-10s and MD-11s,not so with JCW! However it seems 2024 has been the year of the retro livery and planes? Besides that Phoenix have released a bucket-load of retro liveries in DC/MD form! OK but JCW ones seem to have this edge i feel over Phoenix! Only one i still would like to see done by either as i suspect Aeroclassics will never do it again is a DC-10 in Caledonian Airways NOT BCAL and Northwest Orient liveries! Been done but along time ago and for those who missed out its been like 15yrs and still no show!
Both i think done before by Aeroclassics, maybe Gemini or Phoenix?.Rare to find 2nd hand as of low numbers made.JCW seem to be scarce with doing MD-11s as well.
This particular model has a great brand livery of the purple hues! Goes great with its also JCW sister the version thats all in crome ,another in (inhouse livery)
Its one of the MD-11 liveries that stands out even so an inhouse scheme of the company that built it!
Worth having in a collection as i bet it will be an iternity again before we see the likes done at 1:400 scale!
